From the Kiln to the Glory Hole: Pattern Bars, Roll-Ups and Pastorelli Forming
Set your fusing on fire! This course will introduce the kiln former to the hot shop with the expert guidance of our instructors. We'll demonstrate the roll-up technique, which will allow your fusing to be manipulated in the round on a blowpipe, and explore a variety of experimental techniques such as pastorelli forming, draping and free form sculpting. Drawing with Glass: Pen & Ink Effects
Using glass powders and frits as a drawing tool is totally unlike any traditional media that you have used in the past. Using glass powder in this manner is much more forgiving and allows for a greater range of gesture and texture than the pen and paper. More info
